Anonymous asked: Pretend you are President. You can choose anyone in history to fill out your cabinet. Who do you choose?
Interesting question to contemplate. Here goes:
Vice President: Calvin Coolidge
Secretary of State: Henry Kissinger
Secretary of Defense: Dwight Eisenhower
Joint Chiefs Chairman: John J. Pershing
Secretary of the Treasury: Friedrich Hayek
Federal Reserve Chairman: Milton Friedman
Attorney General: Bobby Kennedy
Chief of Staff: William F. Buckley
Secretary of Education: Peter Thiel
I would abolish all others. I am aware that some of these are not cabinet positions, however I felt like naming certain positions of influence that would hold weight in my inner circle. Typically I would advocate abolishing education as well, however I’d love to see Thiel at work revolutionizing that department.
People may be wondering “why Bobby Kennedy?” While I disagree with a lot of his politics he was a staunch anti communist, and a harsh opponent of corruption in organized labor. Judging by the way liberals today hate Scott Walker, they should iterally view Bobby Kennedy as Satan.
Aside from these guys I would retain Ayn Rand, Thomas Jefferson, Walter Williams, Andrew Carnegie, and Thomas Sowell as advisors on call.
Finally if I have the power to do so I’m hiring Bruce Lee as a personal trainer.
Other than the presence of Ayn Rand this is pretty much my dream team.
